Google Trends Shows US Economy to Be The Largest since World War II
The US economy is expected to grow by a solid 1.3% this year, according to Google Trends.
The latest data shows the country’s gross domestic product will be the second largest since World Wars II, after the United Kingdom’s, in 2018.
This was confirmed by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
It is the second time the US has overtaken Britain.
Google Trends has been around since the early 2000s, and was launched to help Google (GOOGL) identify the trends that matter to its users.
The company uses data from more than 400,000 websites to generate its “big picture” on the world economy, and its results are shared on a regular basis to users around the world.
