When to be the guy who’s ‘not a dude’ in the Uber taxi industry
It’s no secret that Uber’s drivers are a male-dominated bunch.
That’s a lot to take in when you’re a young man with a new job who wants to take pride in the way he looks and behaves.
So it comes as no surprise that in Uber’s recent launch of a new magazine called Motor Trend, the taxi service has introduced a new male-focused section.
The magazine is designed to help men understand their role as drivers and to promote positive self-image.
For now, though, the section isn’t focused solely on drivers, and the magazine also features a slew of features on the drivers themselves.
“Motors are a very important part of our industry,” Uber’s director of human resources, Adam Brody, told The Verge.
“We wanted to show that we are all driving together.”
As the video above shows, the magazine is a fun and easy read for drivers.
But there’s also a bit of humour and insight into the drivers’ lives.
In one story, Brody writes that drivers are “often misunderstood.”
He also says that there are some drivers who don’t want to drive at all, but want to be a “professional” one, “or a driver that just wants to be happy.”
He continues: “I have a lot of friends who are drivers.
It’s an amazing experience.
It really does feel like you’re driving for the company.
You’re actually doing something for the employees, and you have a great team behind you.”
Brody goes on to say that many of the drivers are also “really driven to be successful” and that some “feel like they have a passion for their job.”
Some drivers have a special brand of drive, and some might have had a bad experience in the past.
But Brody says the magazine aims to provide drivers with information they can use to make a positive contribution.
“It is intended for drivers who want to better understand their roles in the industry,” he says.
“I think we can all agree that being a good driver is really important to any of us.”
